The Director of Strategic Accounts – End Users is responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive database of end-user prospects and customers. This individual will work collaboratively with the sales team, manufacturer’s representatives, and distribution partners to drive end-user engagement, expand business opportunities, and build long-term strategic relationships that foster sustained growth and partnership.


Key Responsibilities:

Account Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan for how Pyramex will partner with distributors and manufacturer’s representatives to strengthen brand awareness and loyalty among end users.
  • Identify, develop, and manage multi-year account plans for a defined portfolio of end-user customers.
  • Achieve or exceed annual revenue and growth objectives.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs) to assess performance, communicate progress, and define next steps.

Internal Advocacy & Alignment

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product Development, Operations, IT, and Marketing to influence strategy, product roadmaps, and solution delivery.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer within leadership and planning meetings to ensure alignment with end-user needs.
  • Mentor Territory Sales Managers (TSMs), Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs), and other team members share best practices for effective end-user engagement.

Market Intelligence

  • Translate customer insights and pain points into actionable product and service requirements.
  • Monitor competitive activity, market dynamics, and industry trends to proactively adjust account and go-to-market strategies.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years professional experience in a sales or product management role; preferably managing accounts with end-user prospects and customers
  • Experience leading a sales team preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all supporting function including sales, marketing, purchasing, operations, and management team to advance development projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of meeting sales goals
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, CRM, Salesforce
  • Strategic thinker with a relentless drive for growth
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Some domestic and international travel required (40%)
